Added a Deactivate button to the License tab so you can release your Pro seat from a machine you can still boot into, and fixed a crash that could occur during deactivation.

Fixed a duplicate Thermal Canary Pro icon that could appear in the app grid on systems with AppImageLauncher installed.

The update check now runs for the free tier too, not just licensed users, so security releases reach everyone.
A quiet tray tooltip now flags a security release even if you never open Settings.
The "manage license / invoice" link now points to the correct billing portal.
Fixed the update-notification banner's Download link, which was silently unclickable.
Fixed the Support & links buttons in Help so a failed link open shows the URL to copy instead of doing nothing.
Fixed a crash that could occur right after a real update was detected.
Pro now writes and self-heals its own app-grid launcher icon and entry, instead of relying on a third-party AppImage integrator.

The License panel now shows "Last verified: Nd ago" when the app has gone a couple of days without reaching the license server, so you get a heads-up before the offline grace period ever runs out.

Fixed the Pro settings panel occasionally rendering too narrow on smaller window sizes, causing text to overflow the panel's edge.

Fixed the license key on the Pro License panel overflowing past the card edge - it now shows a shortened key (first/last few characters) instead of the full 64-character string.

The Smart Alert Overlay now always shows a critical alert even if a warning for the same sensor already showed one recently, so a fast ramp from warm to critical is never silently missed.
Added a one-time safety notice on first launch, clarifying that Thermal Canary is monitoring software, not a substitute for proper cooling.

Added an update check: the app now tells you in Settings when a new version is available, with a manual "Check now" button, entirely opt-out, no usage data sent.

Fixed the app sometimes starting on the wrong theme (e.g. Carbon instead of your chosen Arctic) after previewing themes in Settings - it now always launches on your saved default theme.

Added the Hotspot Delta Analyzer: tracks GPU edge-vs-junction temperature over weeks and flags a widening gap as a sign of drying thermal paste (AMD GPUs).
Crash Black Box no longer flags every unclean exit as a crash - it now requires a genuinely hot GPU/CPU or a GPU driver hang in the kernel log, so a force-quit or suspend/resume no longer gets logged as a false crash.
Fixed unreadable Burn-in and Help tab buttons on some setups.
